'Golden Green' is the new single from Agnes Obel, available to stream now and as an instant grat with pre-orders of her new album 'Citizen Of Glass', released October 21st on Play It Again Sam. Premiered on BBC Radio 6 Music, 'Golden Green' is the second single from the new album following the 6 Music playlisted 'Familiar', described as "a pointillist, arpeggiating, strings-flecked stunner" by The Sunday Times, "ASMR-worthy" by The Guardian and "hauntingly beautiful" by The Sun.

Featuring vocals, vibraphone, piano and percussion, 'Golden Green' is about "how the mind can develop stories and change reality whilst under the influence of envy," says Obel. "In a sense it is a negative longing with a creative potential for good and/or bad - novels are written in the mind from this perspective. The song is inspired by the book 'Envy' from 1927 by the novelist Yuri Olesha."

'Citizen Of Glass' is the follow-up to 2013's 'Aventine', which yielded three 6 Music playlisted singles and saw the Berlin-based Dane headline gigs at Somerset House, Shepherd's Bush Empire and Barbican. The album will be available as a Digital Download, CD with lyric booklet, and on 180g black vinyl LP + download code in a gatefold sleeve. Pre-order the album from
