Alex Lleo / Debut London Show & 'Park Studios, JQ' Live EP
Alex Lleo makes his London debut tonight with a show alongside his five-piece band at the St Pancras Old Church in Kings Cross. Support for the night comes from Bristol-based songwriter George Glew.
Alex’s debut live EP - ‘Park Studios, JQ’ - was released last month and featured three tracks, each recorded live in one-take alongside his band. The videos for each track (filmed during each take) premiered on Vevo and you can watch them via the links below.
Fresh from a headline solo tour of Cornwall & Devon - playing shows by night & surfing the cold Atlantic by day - Alex will return to the SW in late June for a new run of solo dates. His warm, mellow sound takes its creative cues from the likes of Jack Johnson, Ben Howard & Ray LaMontagne.
Spending time in nature - in Worcestershire's Lickey Hills where Alex lives and grew up, the awe-inspiring Scandinavian mountains, and surfing the various coastlines of the British Isles - has shaped Alex’s creative outlook. You can hear his attraction to the natural world, its peace and its drama, in his music, which is exquisitely paced, laid-back and rich in melody.
