Bear's Den / Announce Highlands & Islands Tour For August

As The Crow Flies Tour Poster2

Following the release of their stunning third album, ‘So that you might hear me’, Bear’s Den today announce an intimate ‘Highlands and Islands’ tour of Scotland’s beautiful landscape.

The tour will see the band play six shows across the highlands, starting in Orkney on 11th August and finishing in Dunkeld on 16th August. Returning to the corner of the UK where the band played some of their first-ever headline shows, these shows represent a return to the roots of the band, as well as a rare opportunity for fans to see the band in some intimate and beautiful locations.

The band explain: “Back in 2014 shortly after we embarked on our first ever headline tour, we took a bit of a detour and travelled up to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. We didn’t know it at the time, but that trip would be something that helped shape the band in ways we never expected it would. Now, 5 years later, with many other tours across the world under our belts, we decided it would be an amazing thing to try and reconnect with those places, and that feeling of being a band on the road, in a van, in the far-flung and stunning Highlands and Islands of Scotland once again.”

The band have sought to take with them the chemistry and closeness they established on that first Scottish adventure, as they have toured the world over the course of the past five years. The trip will see the band reconnect with their history as they embark on this nostalgic rural journey. During their original Highlands and Islands tour in 2014 the band captured their trip on video. Bear’s Den have so far this year done a sold-out European tour, which included two shows at Shepherds Bush Empire. The band played a phenomenal packed-out show at Rock Werchter last weekend and will be playing a handful of other European festival dates this summer (including a second stage headline show at Citadel next weekend) before embarking on the Highlands and Islands tour. They will then head out on a UK and European headline tour in November. Full listings as follows.
