Fenne Lily / Shares 'What's Good' Video, UK Tour Dates Start In October

Fenne Lily Whats Good video still

Fenne Lily has unveiled her first ever official video with a cut for her recent single, ‘What’s Good’.

Filmed with Theo Watkins & Jamie Harding of Old Rope Films, the video features Fenne herself and speaking about the visual concept, Fenne has shared: “The idea behind the sportswear aesthetic was to visually reflect the feeling of something one sided. 'What's Good' is about the loneliness of realising you want somebody more than they want you; of playing by someone else's rules. We wanted the video to articulate that feeling of isolation and powerlessness by playing 'team' sports alone."

Recorded and produced at the home of Fenne’s friend and professional collaborator, Dave Dixon (aka Tamu Massif), ‘What’s Good’ follows previous singles ‘Bud’ and ‘Top To Toe’, which have now amassed a staggering 20 million Spotify streams, quite a feat for an unsigned solo artist self releasing music.

Drawing on her own personal experiences, Fenne’s exposed vocals on ‘What’s Good’ naturally reflect the heartbreaking heart-on-sleeve honesty in her lyrics and this raw emotion comes to the fore when Fenne performs in a live setting.

Off the back of the success of ‘Bud’ and ‘Top To Toe’, Fenne closed 2016 with her first ever UK headline tour and a special one-off show supporting Lucy Rose. Since then she’s toured Europe supporting Charlie Cunningham, and in October she’ll embark on a unique co-headline tour with Siv Jakobsen, Sivu, and Paul Thomas Saunders playing some of the UK’s most beautiful venues including London’s Cecil Sharp House. See below for full upcoming live listings.

In between tours, Fenne has been far from idle and has been busy singing guest vocals for a number of other artists including 4AD’s Aldous Harding, and fellow Bristolians Oliver Wilde, Slonk, ThisisDA, and Tamu Massif. She’s also been working on her own material and new music is expected for late 2017.
