Soap&Skin/ Shares Visuals For 'Creep' Ahead of London Headline Show

SoapSkin 2020

“…a new buoyancy runs through the album” – Mojo

“At the heart of it all is that piano. Sombre, steady, implacable.” – The Quietus

Taken from last year’s acclaimed album 'From Gas To Soild / you are my friend’, Soap&Skin today releases a visual partner for the track 'Creep'. Ahead of the previously announced run of European live dates the spring, the clip aligns itself with the otherworldly landscapes and imagery of the album’s cover artwork as it slowly (r)evolves and unfurls, evoking the dark beauty of the track over its all-too-brief two minutes and twenty seconds.

Soap&Skin, aka Anja Plaschg, takes 'From Gas To Solid / you are my friend' on the road throughout April including a first London show for some years. The majority of shows will see Jungstötter as guest support.

Recorded mainly at her home in a quiet leafy corner of Vienna, 'From Gas to Solid…’ is not only self-produced but self-played and Plaschg explains the creative process of making the album; “I had to let go of what  I thought I loved and needed, which also meant bringing enormously painful things up from my subconscious – from gas to solid.” She continues; “The sampling process also meant creating, an imagined world [mirrored by the album artwork], click per click, painting the music on my screen – this was ‘gas’. A real – solid - connection wasn’t there. Similarly, the transition from thought and recording to a tangible album shifts from ‘gas to solid’’

'From Gas to Solid / you are my friend' is available through all usual outlets via Play It Again Sam.
